Fanshawe Falcons baseball team wins back-to-back OCAA titles

It’s back-to-back baseball championships for Fanshawe.

The Fanshawe Falcons baseball team swept the Lambton Lions in the gold-medal series to capture their second straight OCAA championship.

The Falcons wrapped up the title with an 8-4 win on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Norm Aldridge Field in London.

In Game 2, Heipel did his damage with his legs and his bat, picking up a hit and scoring two runs.

Catcher Hunter Wright went 3-for-3 with two runs scored in the clincher. Bradee Boughner was 2-for-3, also with two runs scored. Owen Constantinou went 3-for-6 over the two games.

Neil McComb picked up the win on the mound for the Falcons in Game 2. Ryan Hubbard took the loss for the Lions.

The Falcons went 17-1 in the regular season and a perfect 4-0 in the post-season.
