London went 4-0 to start the year in 21-22 as the Ontario Hockey League returned to action following the COVID-19 pandemic and 4-0 has been the best start the team has had at the beginning of a season dating back 30 years.

Van Gorp and Bidgood were huge parts of a five-goal second period that pushed London ahead to stay.

Van Gorp used his speed to tie the game 1-1 at the 6:22 mark of the second period and now has four goals and seven points in his first three games.

After Ryan Brown fed Cooper McAslan for his third goal in three games back-to-back turnovers broke the game open for the Knights.

First Eloan Le Gallic picked off a pass and lasered home his second goal of the season and then Bidgood forced a puck loose outside the Attack blue line and set up Carson Harmer’s first goal as a Knight that made it 4-2. Bidgood then banged in a Ryan Brown rebound to give London a 5-2 advantage through 40 minutes.

Owen Sound battled their way back to within one on goals by Max Delisle and Maple Leafs prospect Harry Nansi. Nansi had two goals in the game.

Jake Crawford also scored for the Attack.

With the score sitting at 5-4 for the Knights and under three minutes left on the clock Thomas Zooco took a puck across the Owen Sound blue line and snapped home his second goal of the year to give London breathing room.

Van Gorp finished the scoring into an empty net.

Brian Cooke recorded his second straight win in goal for the Knights as he stopped 22 of 26 shots.

Ryerson Leenders took the loss in goal for the Attack.

The Knights outshot Owen Sound 41-26.

The Attack were 3-for-7 on the power play.

London went 1-for-7.
