London Knights acquire goalie Arvin Jaswal from the Barrie Colts
The London Knights’ goaltending situation became very interesting after a move made on Sunday, Oct. 25.
London acquired 18-year-old Arvin Jaswal and a sixth-round pick in 2027 from the Barrie Colts. In exchange, the Colts get a second-round pick in 2029, a third-round pick in 2028, a conditional third-round pick in 2028 and a fourth-round pick in 2027.
The move gives the Knights three goaltenders with OHL experience. Jaswal joins Aleksei Medvedev and Brian Cooke in the London crease.
Jaswal played his first OHL season in 2025-26, serving as the main backup to Ben Hrebik as the Colts made a run to the 2026 OHL championship series.
The Pickering, Ont., native posted an 18-3-3 record with a 2.45 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage in 24 appearances for Barrie. That record included a 13-game personal winning streak.
Jaswal was named OHL Goaltender of the Week in March and made two playoff appearances.
Former NHL goaltender Al Jensen, now with NHL Central Scouting, told NHL.com that Jaswal isn’t flashy but is very good at “putting himself into position to stop the puck.”
Jaswal has been recovering from an injury and has yet to play a game in 2026-27.
He was originally a sixth round pick of the Colts in 2024 and is committed to Yale University.
